Our final game of the season. As far as the maths went, a win would guarantee us second place. It would give us an outside chance of 1st place in the unlikely event of Bridge losing one of their remaining games. Anything else would see us slipping to third. County started the game on the front foot and pinned us in our half for the first 25 mins or so. But for the brilliance of the returning Jordan in nets they would have been 3 or 4 up before we could blink. They did take the lead during this period, and things were looking bleak. Then a moment of brilliance from Kris turned the game. He dropped his shoulder and beat his defender before rifling an unstoppable shot across the keeper. This seemed to visibly lift the lads and we ended the half in the ascendancy. Half Time 1-1.
In the second half we started a little tentatively and County took advantage to punish us and take the lead. Kris again came to the rescue, running onto a delightful through ball and finishing clinically. He then put us in the lead with another well timed run and finish. We were now rampant and could have added 2 or 3 more before the final whistle went. Final score 3-2.
