FROM BOYS TO MEN!

The club was formed in 1977 to give the lads of Penwortham something to do, within a year the Central Lancashire J.F.L. was formed and we were founder members.

We started of at u11s and progressed the age groups till we had teams at all ages from u11s through to u16s, we played on various pitch’s with Hurst Grange and Hutton the main ones.

Then in 1998 the Mid-Lancashire Colts J.F.L. was formed for u9s+u10s again we were founder members.
Soon after this we made a big decision and moved onto Penwortham Holme along with Hurst Grange and Hutton.

Then in 2001 we where heavily involved in forming the Youth division of the Lancashire Evening Post Sunday Football League, again being founder members, at the same time the Colts league started teams at u7s/u8s and we put teams in this category as well making a total of 15 teams.

In 2003/4 with natural progression our Youth team went into the Senior league and we expanded our Colts and Juniors and at the end of this season had a total of 19 teams .

We are still looking to progress further by buying our own land and joining Vernon Sports Club for our club-house.

Next season there is a new league starting for junior teams and already we have our name down to join , the future of our club looks good!!!
