was this gonna be the day that piper clinch the title or not, Pin Green only had 10 men but as you all know teams always play better when they have 10 players dont ask me why.
the game kicks off, and straight away piper are on the attack looking for that goal as they only need a point to win the league.
some sloppy passing from piper let Pin Green in and they was on the attack some neat passing a quick shot from Stevens which went to Pipers keeper Saunders right hand side he dived but could not reach, Piper find them selfs in trouble and a goal down.
again Piper are on the attack after attack when eventually the ball falls to Williams who lashes home from about 7 yards out, Game on again.
some of Pipers play has not been that pretty today is it nerves dont know but the management have no fingers left.
some awful defending on the edge of the Piper box lets in Pin Greens Stevens whos shot rebounds of Saunders only for the striker to follow up and slot away number two.
What is going on ?, we dont know the score from the Pig & Whistle game.
there is about five minutes to go before the break Piper must do something.
When Piper are awarded a corner on the left Kitching steps up swings in a fine ball to the back post where Dwayne Lee for a little guy out jumps the Pin Green defenders and nods the ball home 2 - 2.
it stays like that till the break.

Second half after about ten minutes the heavens open up this then seemed to loosen the soil changing the playing surface totally which seemed to suit Piper more
Steve Large was brought on to replace Dean Waller, Piper switch to a 4 - 4 - 2 and now seem to take a grip on the gamewhen the ball is floated into the Piper box and Stevens comes from nowhere and hits a bullett header past a stranded Saunders its now 3 - 2 to Pin Green Piper must get that third goal if they are to be crowned champions.
Kologo Richards is on for Paul Norris for Piper.
Steve Teale sends a great through ball which Luke Mitchell latches onto his one on one with the keeper nerves of steal are kept, he rounds the keeper and slots home, he is then mobbed by his team mates.
with half an hour to play the referee John Hopkins has to come off injured as Pin Green had no one who could take his place it was one of the managment team from the Piper who steps into the role.
Piper seem to be controlling the game alot better than they did in the first half, with a bout ten minutes remaining Riyston Williams picks the ball up just outside the box, rounds the defender and his shot finds the back of the net, Piper are in the lead for the first time in the game, and only needing a point surely the title is going their way 3 - 4 is the score now, finally the final whistle is blown, thats it Pied Piper are crowned Divsion One Champions.
they now look forward to trying to do the double when they take on Pig & Whistle in the divisional cup final at Stevenage Boro FC on Friday 6th May kick off 6:30pm.
