Biography

I have been involved with football at a number of different levels over the past 12 years. I was a safety auditor for Aston Villa and was involved with the stewarding and security operations at Villa Park. I am still involved (although in a much reduced capacity with the Villa) My first club I served on the committee and as a player (centre forward) was Aston University Stags F.C. where I established the clubs first ever kit sponsorship deal. For this club I played against the reserve side of F.C. St Pauly in Hamberg. Playing wise after the Stags I was with Village F.C. (Birmingham AFA) owing to bad knees (and never having been that good anyway) I rarely managed a full 90 minutes appearance. I still occasionally play and manage a five-a-side team (Birmingham Manchester Villa F. C.) who partake in Rail Sport (the National British Railway Games) I have been involved with Moor Green on the ground operations side of things. Having had a number of good friends play for Pilkington XXX the offer of joining the club was one not to refuse. I have been committee for a few years and now serve as Vice Chairman.
