Pilton Albion Wanderers were founded as a Sunday league amateur team in 2005 and began playing in the Saturday L.E.A.F.A leagues in the 2007/08 season. It is the coming together of two clubs which has reslulted in the formation of this team. The 2 teams in question were North Edinburgh Wanderers and Pilton Albion West.

Pilton Albion Wanderers are the second team to play under the name of West Pilton. West Pilton Albion and the Wanderers play at the same level of league and are hoping to emulate one another in regards to success in the future.
