POLEGATE TOWN FC only reformed in the 2006/07 season after an absence of 5 years from competitive football.
The club hopes to build strong links with the local community to help put Polegate back on the local football map.
Manager Stuart Black was the main man behind setting the club up, and has assembled a well run team with a great team spirit, which will hopefully set them up for a great future.
The backbone of the team is the successful Willingdon reserve side that won their Mid-Sussex League and Cup double in the previous two seasons. Town entered the Eastbourne League for the first season in 2006, before moving to the East Sussex league in 2008 after 2 successful seasons to get themselves established.
Polegate, with the help of local support, were rewarded for their efforts in a move back to the original home pitch at Wannock Road, Polegate, back for the 2008/09 season. Meaning a new pitch and a new league for 2008/09.
Reaching the Susseex FA Junior Cup Final in our first season was a remarkable achievement for everyone involved with the Club. President Chris Bennett and Chairman Rob Gellatley have put a lot of time into seeing Polegate perform well. The Club would like to thank all the sponsors who have been involved this season, and are always on the look out for businesses looking to show their support for Polegate.
