The South West side started life as Ashdown Ladies. At the end of the 2004-05 season they finished as champions of the SW Division 1 South and gained promotion to the SW Premier league.
Ashdown joined into the Poole Town Setup in 2005/06 and became Poole Town Ladies.That season proved to be a tough one with Poole being relegated back down to the SW Division 1. Although the league was not a sucess Poole did manage to
win a trophy that season beating Okeford 3-2 in the Dorset womens cup final.
In 2006/07 they again retained their County cup beating Purbeck in the final and finished third in the league, this being enough to see them promoted to the Premier once again due to the teams finishing above them being ineligible as they were both reserve teams.
The 2007/08 season saw the team finish on the bottom of the Premier league with just 1 point gained,due to there not being enough teams in the league Poole were saved from relegation and will once again continue to play their football in the South West Premier league for the 2008/09 season.
