History
The Beginning

Back in the summer of 1998 it was decided to start a youth football club for the children of Portadown, Co. Armagh. Benny Johnstone, Joe Conn, Ricky Steenson and others met to bring back the name of Portadown Boys Football Club.
They did so and held the first training session for the Under 10 team during the summer to get the boys ready to kick off the club's first season in the Mid Ulster Youth League. At that training session were fifteen boys who all amazingly stayed with the club right through to the end of their season at Under 17's.
In charge of that first team were Ivan Ewart and Ricky Steenson and they completed their first season as runners up in the league, beaten finalists in the League Cup and semi-finalists the the NIBFA Cup, pretty impressive!!
In the early years of the club the tie up with the Irish Premier League club of Portadown FC came and this saw us change our name and club badge to reflect the association with the senior club. From then on we were to be known as Portadown FC Youth.
The Leagues Down The Years

MID ULSTER YOUTH LEAGUE
The club originally competed in the Mid Ulster Youth League from the club's first season in 1998/99. From that season there has been a club presence with at least one team competing each season with the U11's keeping that tradition going for the 2010/11 season.
LISBURN JUNIOR INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
For the start of the 2005/06 season the club decided to enter a team into the Lisburn Junior Invitational League and this was followed the following season by entering a number of the club's teams into the league and this has since become the main league that the club participates in.
NIBFA NATIONAL YOUTH LEAGUE
For the 2010/11 season the club has again embarked in entering a new league. The 2010/11 season will be the third year of the National League and the club has enterered two teams into this new league.
