The sides’ debut season and what a debut it was, as Powick FC Reserves finished top to take The Worcester & District Sunday Division 4 Title from under the noses of their closest rival North Worcester Rangers FC with a 4-1 victory over The Villagers FC on the final day of the 2006/07 season.
As well as sealing the title, Powick FC Reserves performed well in the Cups, reaching the Quarter-Finals of both The WFA Sunday Minor Cup and The Bernard Finnegan Cup knocking out higher ranked sides such as Droitwich Spa FC Reserves, Inkberrow FC & Wilson’s RSVP XI FC along the way.
The season was not without its problems with the loses of Pete Aston early in the campaign and Ervan Cokaj for several weeks. These were not the only problems, but the season was not about those, it was about a group of lads, with individual ability, that got together, worked for each other and achieved what they deserved.
Division 3 here we come!!!!!!!!
