FAQs about Prissick Rovers

Do I have to pay subs every week?

Yes, to cover all associated running costs the subs must be paid weekly, players owing subs for periods longer than 3 weeks will be sent a reminder letter showing what they owe and will run the risk of not being able to join in training and matches whilst subs remain unpaid - it is not fair on all the other players who do pay weekly. Players must also pay subs even if they are not at training either through illness or holiday, there will however be 2 free weeks over Christmas and the New Year period where subs will not be collected.

Do I have to wear boots and shin pads every time I train or play a match?

Yes, players must wear football boots, shin pads (with ankle pads if possible) and also bring a non-fizzy drink and NO chewing gum! Anyone not having the correct items prior to training and or a game will sit out, coaches will not take risks with injuries.

If I have a medical condition should I inform the coaches?

Yes - any player who suffers from asthma, diabetes or any other condition that may affect the way they train or play must inform the coaches prior to training/games and also have their medication with them clearly labelled, the coaches cannot accept any responsibility for problems arising from medical issues if they have not been aware of potential problems or been made aware of any medication which the player should have. Coaches will also not administer any medication directly to a player other than treating football sustained injuries.

What if I cant get to the next away game?

The coaches must be notified if a player cannot attend any game, where possible lifts will be arranged but the coaches will not do pick ups and drop offs to individual players houses, an agreed meeting point will be decided on and all players/parents needing lifts must make their own way to this designated point. Parents who cannot get their child to the designated meeting point run the risk of them missing out on the game. The coaches are there to develop the players for the team and do not offer a taxi service.
