Queens Park Rangers Ladies FC was formed in May 2001 following the successful merger of two long running and well established women's teams Wembley Mill Hill and QPR Women's FC who had both been successful over the years in their own right and had gained numerous honours between them.
The newly formed side faced a difficult season on the pitch during the 2001/02 season in the nationwide FA Women's Premier League and as a result they were relegated to the South East Combination Women's League on the last day of the season.
The club spent then spent the following three seasons playing in the South East Combination Women's League whilst trying to regain their Premier League status. In their first season following relegation they narrowly missed on promotion back to the top flight at the first attempt when they lost out to Watford Ladies in a close fought and exciting league campaign.
At the end of the 2004/05 season due to geographical restructuring of the combination leagues QPR Ladies found themselves relocated to the South West Combination Women's league where they were to spend the next four seasons before finally achieving their goal of promotion back to the FA Women's Premier League at the end of 2008/09 season.
The 2009/10 season saw QPR Ladies continue its developement by funding a third team who competed in the Thames Valley Counties Women's League Division 1, given the promotion of the reserves into the FA Women's Premier Reserve League Division 2 South. This was a successful season for all parties saw the first team consolidate its position in the Premier League as well as triumphing in the Middlesex County Cup over local rivals Barnet. The reserves also consolidated their postion in the Premier Reserve league and the Third team finishing runners up and winning the Thames Valley Counties League Cup.
