QUEENS PARK ROVERS FC

Queens Park Rovers Football Club were formed in May 2003 by Tom Doughty and Alistair Woods and were, and still are, funded by Chairman Mike Doughty.
We began our first season in 2003/04 with a very young squad and we obtained a respectable League position.
The 2004/05 season saw us strengthen our squad with a few older and more experienced players which helped us become runners up in Division 8. We were also winners of the MA Hart Nicholas Read Challenge Cup.We gained promotion to Division 6. Great thanks go's to Neil Harrison who managed and played that season.
The 2005/06 season Steve Cowdrill became our new manager. Once again we strengthened our squad with a couple of new signings. This helped us win Division 6 by quite a distance in the end. We had a fantastic 4-1 victory in the MA Hart Robbins Cup against Premier side Crown but unfortunately got knocked out in the next round on penaltys against another premier side Branksome. In the MA Hart Lawrence A Brivati cup we reached the semi final but sadly we lost to AFC Verwood who were just better than us on the day. We gained promotion to Division 3.
This season we know its going to be hard with the likes of Vienna Windows, Kinson con and Littledown in our league. But we welcome new signings Jake Ormond, Callum Booker, Steve Booker, Adam Cutler, Matt Blake and Adam Maton to the squad this season which we hope will help us challenge for division 3 this season and get a good cup run going!
