Racing Epsom biography
19 Sep 2006

Racing Epsom Football Club were founded in March 2006 by the hardwork of former Chairman Richard Turner. He was ably supported by Steve Mather and Mark Flatt in their quest to create a Club like no other.

Racing entered the Redhill and District Division 4, finishing a credible 8th in their debut season in 2006/07.

The team were guided to a comfortable mid-table finish by Club Captain Mat Turner. Turner led through example but struggled with the bottle and took the decision to step down at the end of the campaign to avoid dragging the name of the club through the gutter along with him.

The Club accepted his resignation after long hard consideration and acted quickly to appoint Paul Vogado as player-manager with immediate effect.

Vogado has been an overwhelming success since being appointed at the helm, guiding the Club to four successive promotions into the promised land of the Redhill & District Premiership.

The Club has also picked up silverware en route; including a famous League and Cup Double (2009/10) which was quickly followed by the League One Title (2010/11).

2011/12 proves to be another groundbreaking season for Los Tangerines with more success just around the corner.
