3rds Achieve Promotion
Randwicks third teams progression hit a new high following their best ever season.
With a blend of ever progressing youth players and experienced heads, Randwick doubled their best ever points tally.
After a crashing out of both cups in the first round, Randwick got off to a decent start in the league winning 5 of their first 8 matches.
This set the trend for the season, and with the backline improving from the year before, Randwick were always looking at a top 5 finish with an outside chance of top 3.
After the league leaders Cross Hands were banned from the league, Randwicks dreams of promotion came ever closer.
However defeats to promotion rivals Alkerton and N.S.S.C. Reserves and a shock defeat to North Nibley, Randwick fell away to finish 4th.
This however was deemed good enough for promotion by the league, when they restructured the leagues for 07/08 and the 3rds go up into divison 7 for the first time in their history.
