Minster on sea Rotary Club

The Minster-on-Sea Rotary club was inaugurated with a nucleus of old friends, many of whom were formally members of Sheppey Round Table. Round Table has an age rule that required members to leave at the age of 40 (it is now 45), this forced exit provided a ready made group of friends who were prepared to form a new club of their own.. By coincidence The Rotary Club of Medway also has among its members two past chairmen of Sheppey Round Table who had moved away from the Island. Keeping a close contact with these two Sheppey Chairman and many other ex-Round Table members within the Medway Club provided the catalyst for Rotary International Britain and Ireland to encourage us to form a brand new club in Minster.
