The Beginning

Real Athletic was started by several mates working together and with the help of friends outside work, we had a squad of players who wanted to play football that was Real Athletic
Season 1

Real Athletic was well underway in division 6 of Southend Sunday league under the guidance of Louis Taylor and with a good start we spent the season chasing promotion only to full short at the end of the season.
Season 2

Season 2 was not as successful with several players coming and going and a new manager in Colin Day we finished routed to the bottom of the league but the manager cannot take all the blame.
Season 3

With more new players and another new manager in Alan Murphy, we finished 4th with 30 points from 18 games not including 3points deducted for fielding an eligeble player. Team spirit was high this year and the team finished on a good run of form.
Season 4

Another season 06/07 and another manager. Real Athletic change pitch from BOurnes Green in Southend to Memorial Park in Wickford as the squad changes continue few players now live in the Southend area. With a squad of 23 players, Real Athletic are looking for a successful season and a consecutive promotion. Real Athletic finished the season top and was crowned champions ahead of Wasps!
