Redcar Town beat Norton & Stockton in this friendly played at Norton this afternoon. Redcar started much the brighter of the sides and enjoyed a long spell of pressure which saw the Norton goal live a charmed life at times with a number of efforts just going past the post. Redcar however opened the scoring after 25 minutes when after a superb move down the left Bradley Hallidays superb cross was volleyed home at the far post by Curtis Round.
Half Time: Norton & Stockton 0-1 Redcar Town FC.
Norton came out after the break and took the game to Redcar who had to defend for a period before resuming control of the game by adding a second goal after some excellent play by Brad Halliday who put through Ryan Jennings whose superb low cross was turned in by Lewis Bollands. Norton came back with a late goal but Redcar held on comfortably to start their campaign with a win.
