Redcar kicked off today in the sunshine against Brinkburn, in an evenly matched contest it was Redcar who took the lead on 25 minutes when a Tyler Easton corner was headed into the net by Sam Dowson. The Town doubled their lead  on 36 minutes when Sam Dowson played in Bradley Halliday who finished well. Brinkburn pressed forward  and on 42 minutes a free kick was headed goal wards but Matthew Berry made an impressive save to push the effort over the bar.

In the second period Redcar controlled the game and had numerous chances to kill the game off, it was not until the 81^st minute that the Redcar pressure finally paid off, a Curtis Round corner was met by Ryan Maltby  whose feeble shot was saved, Bradley Halliday  was quickest to pounce on the rebound to finish clinically.  In the 90^th minute Brinkburn got a consolation  goal when a shot was deflected in giving Berry no chance.
