We didnt lose our last game!!!!

Ah... Once again if every game was like this one the club would carry on forever!! But I'm guessing we cant all play indefinetly..

With no Shanksy or Toby for the last game, they were sorely missed on Sunday and we feared the worst.

But luckily Sheldon was available and Tristan wanted to play in the last game.  And it was these two in the first half that completely took charge of the game.  Tris ran around like a blue-arsed fly and chased everything which gave Sheldon the space and tinme to  dominate the midfield.

We looked far the better team and it wasnt long before we went one ahead through Cooky who scored a fine header from a great cross by Bobby who had an impressive game on Sunday.

And it was then Sheldon who made it two with a quite stunning strike from around 25 yards.

But it was then that Trimley started to pile on the pressure. And a late first half goal put them back in it.

Rousey who had a superb game at left back once again, had to come off at half time due to his hamstring but it was really decent of him to play for us on Sunday through an injury. Michael was another huge find for Red Star and the club wishes him all the best at Felixstowe Rangers next year. But if we do re-form next year, we want him back!

The second half was a real backs to the wall affair and we were up against it with very little reply. But we continued to prevent Trimley from scoring mainly down to Tim in goal with Richie and Russ at the back.

But a bit of an unlucky goal did get Trimley the draw and in all fairness we done very well to hang on in the end. So a draw was a great result as we walked off the pitch for the last time on the final whistle.

I could go through every player on Sunday for MOTM. but in particular Sheldon was great and its just a shame we could not have had him there every week.

Tristan in a very very rare appearance had an awesome game. Both in midfield in the first half and then slotting in at left back for the second half. Tris has been at the club since the very first game and it was great to have him there for our last.  In fact with me and Milllsy there also we had 3 of our original team playing 16 years later. A real feat in itself.

But this week and for the last time, Russell takes the MOTM award. He was outstanding on Sunday at Centre back and at times was solely responsible for keeping us in it.

After the end of the game the champagne flowed in the changing room and it really was a great way to go out in style.

everyone even came down the pub!!

Once again, if it was like this every week I would be desperate to carry on, as the last few weeks since we decided to fold, have been so enjoyable!

The final thing I would say is that we still do have everyones mobile numbers, so when one day Red Star do come back, expect that call......
