History
Renfrew Town was started off by 2 of the existing committee members in 1996. The team started out as Deanpark Hotel AFC and played in the Paisley and District league for 4 years. In 2000 / 2001 the team joined the Glasgow and District Saturday Morning League (GDSML). The team was forced to change it’s name as there was a team currently called Deanpark in the league so the name of Renfrew Town was decided. At the end of this season the club will celebrate it’s 10 year anniversary.
Summary of Organisation
The club comprises of a committee of 4 people, Iain Crawford (Manager), Greg Deehan (Secretary), Gordon Turrent (Treasurer) and Stuart Smith (Coach) who is SAFA approved coach.
The team currently has a playing staff of 26 registered players.
