We have all heard the saying 'unsung heroes', but do we realise that they are closer to us than we think? I have just been told of one man, Clive Chambers, who 11 years ago realised that there was no team for young boys who wished to play football, so he started his first training programme for the youngsters with only 11 boys, now the players number 100 and keeps growing. They include his young daughter and son. Recently at Glamorgan Voluntary Services in Alfred Street, Neath, Clive was presented with a certificate for voluntary work to acknowledge his outstanding contribution for his work with Resolven Junior Football Club. This was presented by Jill Gibson, and was signed by Rhodri Morgan AM. Congratulations from all his family and friends and everyone associated with Resolven Junior Football Club.
