League Cup 2nd round draw

The draw for the 2nd Round of the League Cup took place at the Management Committee Meeting on Tuesday evening. Three 1st Round matches are still outstanding and the full draw is as follows:-

League Cup 2nd Round Draw

Witham Town or Redbridge v Little Oakley

Boca v Ekco Whitecaps

Southend United v East Thurrock United

Chelmsford City Reserves v Beacon Hill Rovers or Hawkwell Athletic

Runwell & Rayleigh v West Bergholt

Barking Reserves v Runwell Hospital

Assandun Vikings v FC Clacton or Hutton – to be played 10 January

Saffron Walden Town v C&K Basildon

Matches are to be played on Sunday 20th December with a 1.30pm kick off with the exception of Assandun Vikings v FC Clacton or Hutton which will be played on Sunday 10th January. This is because FC Clacton will be playing Hutton in their outstanding 1st Round fixture on 20th December.

Due to Great Berry folding Southend United have been moved up to the first Division

2009/10 season division's

At the AGM eight new teams were added to the constitution for 2009/2010 season. Barking, Billericay Town Reserves, East Thurrock United, Foxah, Harwich & Parkeston, Shrimperzone, Southend and Tigers were voted in while Loughton Academy have changed their name to Boca.
Leaving the league are last seasons Division One Champions Hannakins who are moving up the pyramid into the Eastern Region League while Cornard are moving across into their parent County League in Suffolk. Both teams go with the league's best wishes for a successful future. Other clubs to go are Tilbury, Shoebury and Saffron Walden Town B who have all folded.

The constitution for season 2009/10 season is as follows:- Division One -
C&K Basildon, Chelmsford City Reserves, Great Berry, Hutton, Runwell Hospital, Saffron Walden Town, West Bergholt and Witham Town.

Division Two -
Assandun Vikings, Beacon Hill Rovers, C&K Basildon Reserves, Hawkwell Athletic, Little Oakley, Redbridge, Runwell & Rayleigh, Southend United, Tempest, and Torquespeed.

Division Three -
Barking Reserves, Billericay Town Reserves, Boca, East Thurrock United, FC Clacton, Foxash, Harwich & Parkeston, Shrimperzone, Southend and Tigers.

We play at playfootball.net off Prittlewell Chase Opposite Southend Hospital. The playing surface is outdoor 3rd gen astro and fully enclosed.

There are 3 separate kick off times 7.30 8.15 and 9pm which aternate each week per team. Fully qualified refs for each game.
