Rhos Utd 1 Rhuddlan Town 2

This top of the table clash was always going to be tough for both teams and so it proved with a hard fought game. Both teams showed good character and at times played good football in tricky conditions.
Town started the better however Rhos got more into the game and after 15 minutes, Edward Hadley raced through to put Utd in the lead. The game was pretty much end to end and on 23 mins, a foul on Mike Roose led to a well-taken penalty from Ben Roberts levelling the scores. Town probably then just shaded the rest of the half and made it count when Martin Halewood scored what turned out to be the winner two minutes before half time. Both teams huffed and puffed in the second half with neither really creating many clear cut chances and Town hung on to take the 3 points to stay top.
