Richmond Raith Rovers Veterans team was established in 2004 and played in the I-Zingari Combination Veterans League in Liverpool.
Following a successful first, season where the team finished as Veterans Division 2 Runners-Up, we were promoted to the First Division.
In our first season in the top flight we finished in a respectable 4th place and rounded off the season with a 1-0 win over Bootle in the LCFA Veterans Cup Final.
However, the side decided to hang up their boots for the final time during the 2007-08 campaign.
It may have been a short stint for the team but it certainly made their mark in the LCFA and feared throughout the land as a force to be reckoned with!
One day there may be a "Rovers Revenge" or even a "Rovers Return"! which could see the Richmond club renew their pledge to become the greatest amateur club side on Merseyside.
