Richmond Raith Rovers play in the CARLSBERG WEST CHESHIRE AF LEAGUE (Divison 2)
Club formed in 1997 as Richmond Rovers FC
1999 Changed name to Richmond Raith Rovers FC
2009 changed name to Richmond RR Jacobs
2010 reverted name to Richmond Raith Rovers FC
2012 changed name to Richmond Raith Rovers MAGS FC

RRR has grown with the players and can now boast the fact that their club has evolved from a junior u11's team in 1997 through to an "open age" side in 2007 with a number of the players performing in every season since its formation.
Six seasons ago, 2007-08, saw for the first time the club becoming involved with an open age group and did, not only themselves but, the club proud by finishing in 4th place in the division and reaching the final of the West Cheshire Shield.

The season 2009-10 saw the club finish with an incredible end of season run in by winning their last nine league matches and unbeaten in the league since a rare home defeat to Runcorn Town in January 2010. This unbeaten sequence helped Richmond to top the table late on in the campaign but were overtaken in the final week by Hale & Prescot Cables (goal-difference) knocking Richmond into a magnificent third spot. This gave them promotion to the higher division at their third attempt and are now looking forward to better things ahead and claiming a second promotion in successive years, like Marshalls, into the top flight of the West Cheshire AF League.

2010-11  gave Richmond a fourth place finish in Div2 with a final match of the season victorious 4-0 winners against newly promoted to div1 and league runners-up Chester Nomads.  The Charter Standard club status was achieved in 2011.

2011-12 was Richmond's hardest season to date with an enormous amount of injuries hindering their performances throughout the campaign. John Doyle moved on as did a number of players, but with the almagamation of the MAGS JFC outfit the future of the Richmond club looks a lot brighter.

New players have emerged from the Mags set up and the squad looks a lot stronger in all departments bring on the 2012-13 year with the club new premises at Heron Eccles!

Supporters and visitors are welcome to the new surroundings as long as they behave themselves and adhere to the companies strict Charter Standard and Health & Safety policies.
