Having ended the 2009-10 season in third place, narrowly missing out on promotion, Richmond were both dumbfounded and ecstatic when it was announced at the West Cheshire AGM that they had been promoted to the 2nd division for the forthcoming campaign.
It was just rewards for the lads after their titantic end to that season.
The got off to a great 2010-11 start but were unable to continue their excellent performances into the cups and were duly exited on both counts in the 1st round!
Their league performances began to jitter until the turn of the year when they pulled themselves together and finished in a highly creditable 4th place by the end of the campaign, a lot higher than was initially hoped.  Bearing that in mind, the 2011-12 season hopes to bring much needed and deserved success to the lads - well due a piece of silver.
