Report

Today’s game was still a continuation of the form showed in last week’s game in my opinion.

Yes we had more of the ball and yes we were the better side on the day. We lost the first half 3-1 but won the second half 1-0.The Referee was blind to 4 handballs of theirs but picked up every thing we did like a hawk.2 of the hand balls were probably penalties and when we got one he played no advantage in our favour, but regularly brought back play if their advantages didn’t pan out.

Again in my opinion I think we have progressed over the last 2 or 3 games ,in a season that with the teams that finished above us with exception of Romford Royals, had come down a division or 2 due to teams playing the additional 9 v 9 game that was made available at out age group.

I am not just making excuses but 11 a side is a totally different game to 7v7 with many differences how players play or position themselves throughout a game.

The players that I mentioned after the game who have improved their game by being calm in the possession of the ball, have all pushed on this season and we need a few of the other boys to adopt this trait and I am confidant this will be improved throughout the team  over the summer.

The man of the match for me was easy today; Kai played his socks off .He went forward with purpose, tackled, passed and defended brilliantly throughout the game.

Harvey-good saves and good kicking.

Sonny –Solid, passed well.

Ryan- Brick like, got a knock.

Ulas- good on the cover, defended well.

Kai- see above. M.O.M

Regan- Had some good moments on ball.

Stevie-creative through balls got a slight knock.

Reece-as ever, consistent throughout, got a clump at the end.

Ersen-in and out of game, good at times, also got a knock.

Diego-good work rate, better 2nd half.

Taylor- excellent work rate and had a superb attitude.

Teddy-2 good goals could have had a third.

Kristian- a good solid defensive performance.

Sunil- battled well throughout.

Keiran-put himself about a bit, tried hard.
