Drayton Manor 1
Riftswood United FC 4
Alex Sullivan (1)
Simon Read (2)
Simon Wheeler (1)

As the last game of the season for the Riftswood and the non appearance of the Ref, threatened to turn this game into a comedy play.

However, within 30 seconds of the kick off, a long throw by Nicky Draper was flicked on by Jordan James to allow Alex Sullivan to poke the ball home from short range. The perfect start to the game.

The Riftswood then continued to pretty much dominate proceedings and easily cut out the Manors only line of attack down the right flank.

Simon Read's first of two goals came from a pass by Simon Wheeler to which Simon Read lobbed the keeper from 30 yards to give the Riffy a decent lead into the break.

However, that lead was soon reduced as the Riffy failed to return from their half time oranges and gave away a penalty by Jordan James.

Seconds later the Manor were on equal terms as they caught the Riftswood napping again.

Nicky Draper provided the through ball for Simon Read to score his second to give the Riffy the lead they deserved again.

Simon Read then turned provider as he set up Simon Wheeler as the game finished 4-2.

M.O.M - Simon Read for his much improved game.

D.O.C - Jordan James for a catalogue of comical errors.
