Riverside Football Club

Riverside Football Club were formed in 1998 by Jeff Lynch and Steve Watson.It all started with small sided based at the Riverside in Chester le Street.
As the number of teams increased the club moved to its current home at the Hermitage school,Chester le street.(A few sides still play at the Riverside)
This season,09/10,there are 17 teams proudly wearing the clubs colours.These range from under 8s to under 19s.
All teams are affiliated to Durham FA and compete in the Russell Foster Youth League.
We were awarded the FA Charter Standard in July 2005.We intend to ensure that the children are provided with a safe environment in which to develop skills and enjoy playing football.
The team(u10)were started off by the club secretary Dave Winter in July 2007.In October 2007 the current manager Mark Elder took over but Dave has continued to give his help and support to us,(as well as the other Riverside teams).
