Thompsons Topple 'Toppers'
05 Jan 2007

On boxing day 2006 Robert Thompsons were crowned gloriously as the best team in Thirsk and surrounding areas thanks to a hard fought victory over Topcliffe in the Norby Cup Final. The match was decided on penalties, winning 4-3 after 7 rounds of penalties.

Managed by turncoat Neil Clarke, sporting new diamond earring(s), Thompsons limited Topcliffe to 35 yard, extremely ambitious shots that more often than not ended up in the beck. It was on the set piece that Thompsons caused Topcliffe the most problems, with the power and flight of the evergreen Richard Balderson and the 6"5 freak Ant Elders.

Although Thompsons goals were questioned by Topcliffe, the history books do not lie, and after a much promised "stuffing" on boxing day, Topcliffe could manage little more than a soggy sprout.

3 cheers for RTFC, who add yet another piece of silverware to the Frankland trophy cabinet.

5/11/06 Clark Returns!
06 Nov 2006

Neil Clark today made his return for RTFC in the North Riding cup and scored the first of the game to set up a 4-2 victory for Thompsons. When later questioned by fellow players over his suposed move to Topcliffe Clark denied ever having any intentions of playing for Topcliffe.

07/10/06 - Clarke : A Bitter Backlash
07 Oct 2006

Just a brief message to say Neil 'Clagger' Clarke gave Geordie a few smacks last Saturday after Clarkes high profile move to Topcliffe FC. Goldburn laughed off claims he was made to perform a sex act on Clarke.

Once again, RTFC wishes Clarke all the best in his new water filling duties with "the serious footballers of Thirsk".

26/09/06 Neil Clarke - A tribute
26 Sep 2006

Neil 'Clagger' Clarke has recently announced his big money transfer to Topcliffe FC.

Clarke stated that he was fed up with the "unprofessional, undedicated, unambitious and sh*t attitude" of Robert Thompsons. However, strong evidence has emerged that Neil Clarke has infact joined Topcliffe in pursuit of his lifelong hero and ultimate fantasy boyfriend Kelvin Bainbridge.

The signs were always there that Clarke was on his way to Topcliffe. Pink t-shirts, exaggerated hair styles, queer drinks. This was a day truly on the cards.

Everyone at RTFC hopes Clagger has the best of times at Topcliffe, and enjoys the professionalism of 1+ match balls and designer water bottles.

26/09/06 New balls please...
26 Sep 2006

RTFC is pleased to announced plans to purchase new footballs and water bottles as well as customised training tops, cones, nets, all seater stadium and training facility.

The plans emerged due to the removal of the need to pay excess fines to the league following Neil Clarkes transfer to Topcliffe.
