  • About Us

    Welcome to the Rogerstone A.F.C website who are based in the Gwent region of South Wales. Rogerstone AFC is affiliated to the Gwent County Football Association and runs three senior teams who play on a Saturday afternoon.


    The 1st Team, managed by Scott Lavender and assisted by Ricky West compete within the Gwent County League Division Two, which is in the third tier of the Welsh football pyramid.


    The 2nd Team, managed by Jimmy Blackborow and assisted by Lee Evans compete in the Newport & District Division 1 and act as the clubs reserve team.


    The 3rd Team, managed by Albert Cranham and Stuart Mayo compete in the Newport & District Division 3 and act as a feeder team and consists mainly of veterans and youngsters.
     

    All teams play their home games at the Rogerstone Welfare Grounds, which has Gwent County League standard dugouts and a surrounding pitch barrier, along with excellent changing room facilities. Alternatively, the 2nd Team and 3rd Team also use the Cefn Wood Pitches located at Rogerstone Primary School.


    The Club welcomes old and encourages new players from any types of footballing backgrounds and abilities to just come along and give it a go. Please see below our training details:


    July - September - 6.30pm-8.00pm at Rogerstone Welfare Grounds (Tuesday & Thursday).
    October - March - 7.00pm-8.00pm at Cefn Wood astroturf pitch at Rogerstone Primary School (Tuesday).


    The Clubhouse is at The Rogerstone & Bassaleg Social Club which is located on Tregwilym Road, Rogerstone.
