Romany FC were formed (as Abington Bohemians) in the summer of 1996 by Stewart Henderson-Burton and Martin Lewis. After struggling for the first few seasons, the name change to Romany helped to turn our fortunes around. After a few years of mid-table obscurity and a handful of Cup Semi-Finals, Romany finally won some silverware when they won the Sunday League Division 1 title in the summer of 2004; remaining unbeaten throughout the season. Romany went on to claim more silverware in 2005/2006 season winning the Sunday Conference Division two title.
We are well-organised club in our 13th season and we were awarded FA Charter Standard in December 2005.
The club received local and national exposure in June 2007 when FourFourTwo magazine did a 4-page article on the club
