Peninne Juniors 0-3 Rossendale Valley Pumas
Pennine were played off the park in January at Hopwood hall on the 3G but today was a different situation. The conditions were gale force, the grass was long, the pitch was massive and it was 8 a side. The sleeves were rolled up and the Rossendale lads entered another battle. With the wind behind after captian Ogilvie won the toss the coaching staff expected to be defending a 3 goal lead by half time, but that plan never marterialised. Pennine closed us down, battled and kicked like mad. Hayhurst came off at half time after scoring the first and narrowly volleying over.
In the second half the boys performed to the very highest standard, against a massive wind the ever impressive Lewis Wynn won everything, Jamie Sanderson had a tremendous game continuing his development. All the team played for each other and after it almost spilled over the boys temprament was brilliant. Ogilvie and Bartram completed the scoring to cement the valley side as champions.
