Team turnout

What an experience!!
The boys arrived at Evertons academy at 4.30 for 5pm kickoff.
they played 3 20minute games indoor on 3G on what appeared to be a full size pitch.
Matty in goals, then Rio, then Loius
This was a learning curve for the boys and coaches, all boys played their best but their strenght and stamina just wasnt enough to take control of the game. Passes just didnt make their players, the boys didnt use their skills and try tricks to get past their opponents, but most of all their continuity between themselves just didnt shine through on the day.. Ryan and Loius were really strong at the back, Thomas and Charlie on the wings, Charlie puts skills to use and got us our one and only goal, Thomas just couldnt beat the man, Rio was alittle frustrated when his team just couldnt keep the passes going.Dominic, Finlay and Mason in midfield struggled with their strenght.
We lost count of goals scored against us but towards the end mums and dads were praying the ref would blow his whistle early.
Great play from the Everton team, passed well , skilfull when necessary, but as well these boys play as a team together 3 times a week.
There was one thing everyone said even the Everton coaches our Rossendale Valley boys never put their head down although they were all disappointed , they stayed on and kept going.
Well done for trying boys and what a great experience for you all.
Hopefully we can learn from this and take it on the pitch, hopefully outdoors soon
