After a nervous start, Athletic found themselves 2-0 down with just 7 minutes on the clock!, but managed to get a goal back before half time with a Jay Timms penalty. This led to a 2nd half which saw us play with more belief, resulting in a much deserved equaliser from Daniel Ormsby. Going into extra time, the lads gained inner strength to shrug off the tiredness and Chris Skinner scored what proved to be the winner. The final whistle sparked scenes of mass celebration that lasted well into the night.
