Brief history of Rubery FC
Established with just one team in 1986 as C**K Juniors by co-founders John Bousfield and Kevin Blaber, we adopted the name of the area in which many of us lived and played in 1987 with the birth of Rubery Juniors Football Club, known today as simply Rubery FC.
We gradually added more teams and in anticipation of further growth that followed we moved to our present home ground at Baytree Farm, Wythall in 1996.
The club rose to the status of FA Charter Standard in 2004 and having launched our Womens and Girls teams in 2005 we attained the status of FA Charter Standard Development Club in 2007.
The 2009/10 season saw the demolition of our old and re-building of our new clubhouse. In 2010 we also secured extra land for development for small sided games.
We now have over 20 teams and 25 FA Qualified Coaches who have also attended First Aid and Child Protection courses.
We continue to be a non-profit making football club, giving local families and children the opportunity to take part in organised sport, and also play a part in the development of their own personal values, beliefs and responsibilities to the people in the area in which they live.
