ABOUT THE TEAM

We have prepared for the big jump to 11 a side for two years and the squad that has formed is probably the best team I have ever coached. Last season saw us achieve runners up in the league, winning promotion to div.3, we managed to keep all the players at Rubery exept Buddy Newton who moved back to Fairfield Villa and NooNoo Millar who moved house to Australia, missing all of the Millars but I am enjoying the peace and quiet.
We toured to Brixham and won the tournament without conceding a goal, but several cases of trench foot and a suitcase full of wet clothes did not deter brave Rubery.
Our goals for next season are simple, enjoy and play good football, and believe in ourselves. I believe this is our year!

What is the best way to settle a cup tie that is level after normal time?
Extra time, then penalties
Straight to penalties
Golden goal extra time, then penalties
Golden goal all the way, removing one player from each team at regular intervals
Extra time, then shootout - players start on halfway and have 15 seconds to shoot
Might as well just toss a coin!
