Goalkeeper - The man behind the gloves: Since arriving for an undisclosed fee from Rainbow FC during the summer of 2005, Lawrence -Bungle- Whetton has firmly established himself as Rovers No.1 between the sticks.

His Experience and calm presence breaths confidence throughout the Rovers defence. Despite age and creaking joints affecting his kicking ability, Bungle is still regarded as the best shot stopper throughout the Hayes & District Divisions.

As One of the few family men in Rovers ranks, his obvious leadership skills were called upon in the summer of 07/08 when he was appointed joint Rovers Gaffer. During his 18 month reign, he played a key role in leading Rovers to their first leage Title in their short history, earning legendary status with Rovers fans.

After stepping down from this role mid way through the 08/09 season, citing unworkable differences in the new management set up, Bungle also announced his planned retirement from the game.

Bungle soon re-discovered his conkers and is looking forward to putting his ageing, hairy body through the rigors of one more season - a confidence boost for all Rovers players and fans that Bungle remains the man behind the gloves.
