Perhati-mood Shines on Bouyant R’s

The R’s were truly in party football mood as a combination of slick passing and unstoppable movement constantly carved open their opponents. Umair Babar got the mood flowing after Thauheed Hussain’s long-throw was flicked on by Gramoz Perhati for Babar to guide the ball in with a cleverly cushioned left-foot volley. Chances galore were to come for the R’s but the second was not dispatched until near half-time as Yasin Patel glided forward with the ball and put Perhati through with a perfect pass, to which Perhati rounded the keeper and fired in to double the R’s lead. It did not take long into the 2nd half for Perhati to net his 2nd as Kingsley Tatham laid the ball to Perhati, who swivelled and moved forward before firing in a great shot leaving the keeper no chance, making the scores 3-0. Much like the 1st half the R’s had chances to put the game to bed, but Dennis Karmaj left it late to grab a brace in the closing 15 minutes after Perhati and Hussain both laid on assists for Karmaj to fire in low to the far-post. The superb team performance was encapsulated by the joyous mood with Tiberiu Resvanta even attempting to get on the scoresheet by joining the attack for corners and being encouraged to play with the ball to feet on pitch. The bemusement of Ascot United at the situation summarised the feeling of the game for both sides with the R’s coming off the pitch much happier with today’s results.
