SUNDERLAND BLOW TWO GOAL LEAD TO CRASH OUT AGAINST RANGERS

The day started off badly with some drop outs on top of several key players away or injured, leaving the lads with a bare eleven. Despite the better of the opening 30 minutes and going two nil up thanks to a Michael Evans penalty and a Richie Patterson effort after calls for offside from the Rangers  and some heavy abuse given to the referee, resulting in some yellow cards for the Rangers side, Sunderland failed to gain the advantage further after poor finishing from one on one efforts. Rangers piled three up front to gain a foot hold and got a goal back before half time. After that Rangers seemed the more up for it and the Sunderland attack failed again to score easy chances. Thus resulting in Rangers scoring three goal in the last 12 minutes for a deserved victory for their efforts. Sunderland ran out of steam and heads went down in some parts. Enough said.
