Hello and welcome to the new site for the Sale United under 6s. This is the weekly update page for the Under 6 squad (School Year 1 boys and girls)

This season there is an emphasis on technique, installing good habits early and encouraging use of both feet. All sessions are planned by a UEFA ‘B’ Level 3 Licensed Coach and generally there is a coach to player ratio of 1 to 6. Only FA qualified coaching staff are used. In fact, every Sale United junior squad is led by FA qualified staff at either Level 1, 2 or 3.
With the Under sixes, over the season we will also be concentrating on friendly games of only 4 or 5-a-side to give these new ‘players’ the opportunity to have time on the ball, giving them confidence and an introduction to team play. This will prepare them for future years when, in full support of the FA strategy, the number of players in their team will increase in stages. They will not compete in 11-a-side teams until they move to High School.

_The squad meets two times a week. Saturday mornings at Crossford Bridge Sports Ground from 10.30am through to 12 noon. Then either Monday or Tuesday evenings at Ashton-on-Mersey High School Sports Hall, 6 until 7pm
