Sale United are sad to announce that one of our Powerchair players, Scott Schofield passed away on Monday 1st November, aged 20.
He had only joined us in August this year, but quickly demonstrated that he had a real aptitude for the sport. He made a quick impact, becoming very popular with all the other players at Sale United. He was totally committed to training and I have no doubt he had the potential to be exceptional at the sport of Powerchair.
As recently as October 14th Scott took part in a Powerchair event hosted by Everton and received their coaches award for being ‘Player of the Day’. He is pictured with his certificate and medal.
Our thoughts are with all his many friends and family.
