Fellas - please be aware that now the season has started training has switched to Wednesday nights at 7pm at Mill Lane. |
Mixed Emotions After Opening Day!! (05/09/2006) |
There was good news and bad news for Rovers after the opening day of season this past Saturday. The Reserves were unfortunate to be on the end of a 3-1 reverse at Fowlmere Res, young Dean Miller the scorer. The first team won 2-0 at home to Fowlmeres first team with goals from David Negus and Steve Henderson to keep their good run of form going from pre season. This week sees the first team entertain Girton United Res at the Lane at 3pm with the ressies having no fixture. Ted "Bassett" Smith will be in charge of the Rovers side because manager Bob Rule will be at his grandaughters christening - hopefully Ted can keep up his 100% record as caretaker manager from last season. |

Info for new season. (26/08/2006) |
Could all players please be aware that due to the rise in pitch and referee fees for the coming season the club has had to raise the price of match fees from the current £3 to £4. This was decided after much discussion at the AGM and although it was not a favoured course of action by the club it is neccessary if the club wishes to survive. In addition would all players who STILL owe outstanding match fees and dinner dance money from last season please be forthcoming with this as it is a thankless task for the commitee to chase you for money, remember - the club has already forked out the money you owe so it is needed in to keep the club afloat!!! |
Change of Training Venue Next Week!!! (21/07/2006) |
Don`t forget fellas this coming Tuesday nights training (25th July) is on the astroturf at Sawston Village College between 7pm and 9pm. The two hours will cost £50 so bring some money and obviously the more of us there is the cheaper it will be for everyone. |
