50th season Celebration dinner a success!!!
04 Jun 2007

It has to be said that this past Saturdays 50th season celebration dinner was superb. The current lads were well represented along with a broad spectrum of older players and supporters making a really good night for all involved. Congratulations to all the lads who lifted awards after their seasons efforts and all the people recognised by the club for their service over the 50 year period. Many thanks to guest of honour Mr Roger Pawley Cheif Executive of the Cambs FA. Special mention has to go to Lyn Fitzpatrick and Peter Oglesby for their organisation of such a great event and Chris Harper. If anyone would like to give any feedback to the club about the dinner dance please feel free to post a messaage in the guestbook on this site. Photos from the evening will be avaliable shortly in the photo gallery section.

Mixed Emotions after Opening Day!!!
05 Sep 2006

There was good news and bad news for Rovers after the opening day of season this past Saturday. The Reserves were unfortunate to be on the end of a 3-1 reverse at Fowlmere Res, young Dean Miller the scorer. The first team won 2-0 at home to Fowlmeres first team with goals from David Negus and Steve Henderson to keep their good run of form going from pre season. This week sees the first team entertain Girton United Res at the Lane at 3pm with the ressies having no fixture. Ted "Bassett" Smith will be in charge of the Rovers side because manager Bob Rule will be at his grandaughters christening - hopefully Ted can keep up his 100% record as caretaker manager from last season.
