Scarborough Athletic Supporters Team Seadogs FC continued their recent good form with a hard fought 6-5 victory after extra time against Whitby Wanderers.
The Yorkshire Cup tie, played at East Ayton, was a closely matched epic encounter, played in great spirit by two sets of fans who didn't give an inch to their opponents.
The away side scored first early on, Simon Taylor putting away a penalty after Simon Young fouled a Whitby striker.
The Seadogs equalised just before half-time - midfielder Abdi Hamed getting forward to despatch a low shot into the corner.
Seadogs made changes at half-time, with top-scorer Chris Rooke entering the fray. The away side took the lead once more through Ben Hogarth, but Rooke equaliser with a 20-yard daisy cutter.
The away side stretched their lead to 4-2, Dan Brown and James Hall the scorers.
Rooke pulled another goal back, and with just 15 minutes left sub striker James Hunter finished Jon Hyde's through-ball to level the scores at 4-4 and take the tie into extra time.
Hunter put the Seadogs ahead for the first time in the match 10 minutes into extra time. The striker robbed a Whitby defender, played a one-two with Rooke and blasted home at the near post.
However Taylor equalised for the visitors after a mistake from the otherwise excellent George Elliott.
With penalties looming Boro centre-half Young broke forward into the box and was fouled. Young himself got up, dusted himself off, and blasted the ball home to secure the win for the Seadogs.
