Seaton Carew Juniors were recently awarded the FA Charter Standard Award. Clubs who are awarded the Charter Standard award are taking part in a grassroots revolution as the award and recognition is very important locally as it proves to the community that our club is progressing football in the correct manner.
Currently, Seaton has 14 Football Teams playing in the Teesside Junior Football Junior Alliance League and the Cleveland League. These teams comprise of U17’s, U16’s (X2), U15’s, U14’s, U13’s (X2), U12’s, U11’s, U10’s, U9’s, U8’s and U13 Girls Team. We currently have over 200 children playing football at Hornby Park.
The club has a Development Plan that focuses on expanding the facilities, increasing the participation of children of all ages from the region, increasing the number of trained Coaches involved in running the club and retention of these players and volunteers.
All Coaches and Administrators at the Club are volunteers and all are committed to out-reach work in the community. All Coaches have Level One qualifications and are encouraged to progress to Level Two. All are CRB checked and all have attended FA Child Protection Workshops. In addition, the Club runs a Child Protection Policy program.
Our out-reach work currently involves coaching at local schools in Hartlepool At the moment, we are coaching in Ward Jackson and Eldon Grove Primary Schools
We work closely with the Football Association and Durham FA in trying to deliver their grassroots strategy.
