Shildon AFC lost their third game in a week when they went down 2 - 1 at Newcastle Benfield on Saturday 3rd March 2012.
Benfield just edged the Railwaymen in a hard fought encounter between two evenly matched sides.
Early chances fell to Benfield's No 10 Ian Graham whose overhead kick went just over.
For Shildon Wayne Gredziak could have scored on 30 minutes.
The deadlock was broken on 40 minutes when Ian Graham's shot was chested in from 5 yards by Brain Dodsworth.

Five minutes after the break Aristote Geurin-Lokonga set up Ian Graham who side stepped his marker and gave keeper Keith Finch no chance for 2 - 0 to the home side.
Shildon hit back and on 73 minutes they scored when a good effort was blocked, then Josh Home-Jackson headed to Wayne Gredziak who headed in from close range.
The Railwaymen  pressed for the equaliser and on 90 minutes Josh Home-Jackson fired over from close range when he should have scored.
