Biography

Stephen served a great apprenticeship under Jim Hayes before taking over on a permanent basis,and quickly stamping his own personality and style in Group One.

Stephen enjoyed a rewarding coaching stint with Renfrew Vics Boys' Club from 1997-99,during which time he successfully completed and passed his HND Sports Development Coaching Course.

To broaden his football coaching experience,Stephen went to America in 2001 and spent two years working with different age levels and a variety of settings before coming back to stay in the West of Scotland.

Having received an invitation to visit
Shot Stoppers,Stephen was very quickly impressed with the overall standard of discipline and quality shown by all our goalkeepers,of various age levels,and the respect shown to the coaching staff.

The rest,as they say,is history,and Stephen has since joined the staff to further improve the quality of all our goalkeepers.

Having previously attended the SFA courses,Stephen has enrolled in another coaching event during October.
Putting together more information will undoubtedly help him to pass on further knowledge to the talented group of goalkeepers already under his wing.

Stephen is a nominated coach under SYFA registration,and has full Disclosure Scotland clearance in addition to First Aid training.
