We Hope you enjoy having a good look around the new site, but before you do, here is a quick run down on the history of the football club.
New Wortley Football Club was formed in October 2006 by Michael Lewis, with only 11 men.
In December 2006, despite having only 11 men, Michael Lewis went ahead and joined the Sunday Alliane Football League.
On the 2nd Sunday of January 2007, New Wortley F.C played there first league game in the Sunday Alliance Premier Division, and from then untill May, New Wortley was given some harsh lessons, but at the same time some great experince of what it takes to play Sunday league Football.
At the end of last season 06/07, Manager Michael Lewis reformed the team, and club, setting up a partnership with the South Leeds Community Centre, and renamed the club.

As well as renaming the team, Manager Michael Lewis all so gave the club it's own club badge, and nickname.
He then set about reshaping the team, shipping some players out, and bring new experienced players in.
Michael Lewis all so dropped the team down a division, and gave the club a new Captain, Darren Page.
This season 07/08 is S.L & N.W first full season, and while it may be hard at first, there is belief that with the new players and given time to gel, this club can be very succesfull.
