SBC equalised with 10 minutes to go, from a Peter Elliot thunderbolt drive from 20 yards, but still SBC left feeling that was 2 points dropped. SBC missed 8 to 10 chances during the game, and these were all good chances. Old Lyonians scored after a defensive blip from skipper Gritton and went 2-1 ahead from a counter attack early in the second half. Lee Knight kept his impressive scoring record going with a delightful opener for SBC, but it really should have been 5 goals by half time. Most of SBC good work involved the inspirational Benji Ackam and the meandering and twisting Lee Knight, who both put in impressive end of season performances.
Although not beaten in the league since early December, this game, like the preceeding 2 games, resembled the feeling within the team; played some amazing football, but 34 points from 20 games was 12-15 short. We all look forward to next season.
